Automatic fixed costs for salaried staff is now available as part of our ongoing improvements to our Rota Budgeting feature.

We have introduced this enhancement to ensure that the automated payroll projections we provide are as accurate as possible and that the costs associated with salaried staff are factored into any rota budget along with the variable costs associated with hourly paid staff.

If you have any queries about this feature and how to apply it to your business please feel free to book an online demo with a member of our team.

How it Works

In the following examples I have setup a staff member with a £26,000 gross annual salary (£546.09 per week including NIC).

As you add shifts in a given week, the salary cost will be split between the shifts and rotas proportionately to the hours worked.

No shift history

If your staff member has no history of shifts and they have been added to the Bar and Kitchen rota, the system will apportion the salary evenly across the two rotas before the first shift is created (i.e. £273.05 (includes NIC) per week on each rota).
Bar (£273.05)

Kitchen (£273.05)

Shift history

If your staff member has worked on average 60% of time on the Bar rota and 40% of time on the kitchen rota over the previous 12 weeks, the system will intelligently apportion their salary proportionately across both rotas before the first shift is created.

Bar (£327.66)

Kitchen (£218.44)
