Rota templates provide a quick and easy way to create weekly rotas in seconds and is ideal for businesses that have recurring shift patterns.

You may want to rotate rotas from week to week to ensure a fair allocation of both popular and unpopular shifts between staff. Simply save templates for Week 1,  Week 2 etc.

You can also create bespoke templates for particularly busy weeks e.g. Bank holidays, Christmas etc. planning in extra shifts to cover these busy periods.

How It Works

Step 1

You can save any week as a rota template.

When you have drafted a rota that you would like to save as a template select the "save" icon as highlighted below and click "Save As A New Template"

Step 2

Give your new rota template a meaningful name and click save.

Use a template to quickly create a new rota

Step 1
When you want to use a template to draft a rota, click on the copy rota icon.

You will be able to select to copy a previous week or select a rota from your saved template.

When you choose to use a rota template you will then have the option to select from any rota templates that you have already created.

You can create as many templates as your require.

Step 2

Choose to copy shifts only or shifts and placements.

Which ever method you choose you can still edit and re-assign shifts to different employees once you have the rota copied across.

Once you have made your choice your rota will be created and you will be able to either publish your rota or make any required changes or updates before you publish.

Delete Rota Templates

To delete a rota template you no longer use, simply hover over the rota template name and click on the "delete" button.
