How to Create and Edit Roles

The use of roles on your rota can be very beneficial for your business as it clearly communicates the role you expect your employee to take on that day.

Use of colour on your roles can also make rota easier to read and more aesthetically pleasing.

When creating a role you will be required to give it a name e.g. Supervisor.

You have an option to give it a colour as a way to highlight it on the rota.

You also have an option to add Pay Uplift - you can use this feature if you have an employee occasionally performing a role which requires adding additional amount to their standard hourly rate e.g. some one acting up to a higher role or in some cases 24 hr businesses use it for people working an overnight shift

There are two ways to create roles:

Roles Tab

Navigate and click the Roles Tab at the top of your screen and select "Create Role".

This will open up a "Create Role" window in which you will be able to input Role Name, Add Pay Uplift (Optional) and Select a Colour (Optional).

When you are creating a shift you will also have an option to create a New Role. Simply click on "Create Role" button.

This will open up a "Create Role" window in which you will be able to input Role Name, Add Pay Uplift (Optional) and Select a Colour (Optional).

How to Edit Roles

If you want to edit the roles you have created for example change the name, pay uplift amount or colour simply navigate to the Roles Tab and select the pencil icon by the desired role.

This will open an "Update Role" window in which you will be able to implement the changes - once you are ready click "Submit".

How to Delete Roles
