Enable Employee Annual Leave Requests

How to enable the ability for staff to request annual leave.

This feature can be enabled by OWNER or ADMINISTRATOR users.

Navigate to Hello <firstname> --> Settings --> Rota Settings

Switch ON "REQUEST ANNUAL LEAVE".

EMPLOYEE users will now be able to submit annual leave requests.

OWNER, ADMINISTRATOR users can manage all requests.

ROTA MANAGER users can manage requests for staff that work on rotas they manage.

Once you've enabled the option for employees to request annual leave you'll have further configuration options. These options should prevent unnecessary requests.

Show Annual Leave Balances to Employees

Enabling this feature will allow employees to view their annual leave balance at the time of the request.

Show Employees Who Else is Off

Enabling this feature will allow employees to view who else has scheduled leave on the days they are looking to request as their time off.

Enable Other Leave Type Requests

Enabling this feature will allow employees to request other leave types such as unpaid or parental leave and many others.

Advance Notice Days

You can set a notice period and specify the number of days in advance employees need to submit their time off requests.

Please note:

Employees will be directed to contact their managers manually if they need to request time off within this period.

Time Off Date Exclusions

You can set specific dates when time off requests cannot be submitted. This ensures critical periods are adequately staffed, such as during peak business times or important events.
